I have just completed a total refurbishment of my small 2 bedroom mews house with Katie as Project Manager/Designer. Katie has transformed my dark and pokey 2bedroom, 1 bathroom house in to a bright light filled 2 bedrooms with 2 ensuite bathrooms. As a designer she is innovative and delightfully surprising with a wonderful balance of practical solutions laced with unique creative flair. She approached all creative decisions, whether it was choosing the perfect scatter cushion or redesigning the entire space to give me a 2ndensuite, with the same level of creative enthusiasm. Katie very gently challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone and to consider some creative solutions I would never have thought of.. as a result I am living in a truly totally unique space that makes me smile! There have been many WOW moments during the creative process with Katie, but the one I think had the biggest impact on me was when she suggested flipping the stairs around which then allowed upstairs corridor space to be incorporated into one of the bedrooms to create ensuite space. It was sheer genius and has totally transformed the house. Whilst wearing her Project Manager hat, Katie ran the job with a firm hand. She is a total perfectionist and demands the same from all the tradespeople. The finishes are beautiful and everything she promised. She obviously commands the respect of all the tradespeople not only because she is firm but because she understands their problems and issues. When the builder was unable to source some raw materials (due to current transport and supply problems) Katie spent an entire afternoon sourcing this for him so that he and the job could stay on track. Without Katie I have no doubt that the job would have taken twice as long and cost twice as much. I really can not recommend this lovely resourceful creative lady highly enough. M. Still 2021

“Katie worked with me on a loft conversion and full refurbishment of my Victorian terrace house this year. She supported me from the start of project, sourcing and appointing contractors, and then taking control of project management and budget during the works, through to finishing last details with the contractors. Day to day, she visited the site to solve problems and keep things on track, and ensure the contractors were in good spirits! As I travel for work, it was reassuring to know that she was able to do this for me; she was very flexible about her availability to fit the project, even when this encroached on her own time.
Alongside the project management, Katie advised me on all design aspects of the refurbishment, from painting and decorating, to fittings and soft furnishings. Katie is incredibly creative, and at the same time sensitive to the budget, tastes and life-style of her clients – she will challenge you to think about design ideas that you might not have anticipated: this was the best bit of the project! “I first used Katie in August 2018 when she saved my life and found me somebody to wallpaper my ceiling a week before I was completing on the sale of my house, the ceiling lining, after god knows how many years, had come down.
I found a beautiful flat, which I thought didn’t need anything doing to it, until I lived in it of course! Katie came round in about October 2018 and we did one small piece of the jigsaw and then in about February of last year we started on the complete redecoration and renovation of the flat, two bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, study and whole open plan living area.
We have had such fun doing it and it now looks wonderful. Katie is very easy to work with, has a brilliant team of workers and brings everything on time and within budget.

“Katie Conroy took on a project for us of totally renovating a large house on the River Thames in Wargrave. Katie not only took control of the building project which was extensive but was instrumental in the whole design scheme. Her design skill and knowledge was extensive and helped us enormously.
Not only did she order the furniture, all fittings and curtains but was very helpful to us in choosing all the relevant things we needed. We worked closely on all the details in the kitchen and it all worked perfectly. Katie is great fun to work with and nothing was too difficult for her. It is not easy to control all the aspects of building work and at the same be responsible for the design function as well. We would thoroughly recommend her.

Katie Conroy has designed and project managed two homes for me, my cottage and now my London home. Over time she has got to know me very well and become very close to our family to the point where I can trust her to know exactly what I will like and even buy it on my behalf.
Katie never settles for second best in order to make her own life easier and each and every decision regarding the house has been taken seriously and with care taking whatever time it has needed. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
